Supporting Small Businesses through Conflict

When you started the business, where on the list was the HR policy?
Conflict won’t wait for you to get around to it.

Most business owners may not consider policy until they need it and by then, it's often too late to be proactive about it. That's a Structure Blind Spot: a gap that's easy to miss, and even easier to close once you know where conflict is most likely to start.

What Changes

Most small businesses we work with don't have an HR department. What they do have is an owner wearing six hats, a manager doing their best, and a team that's grown faster than anyone had time to formalize how things work.

A clear framework changes that. It gives employers and employees the same reference point and a shared understanding built to navigate when things go wrong, if not prevent it. That shift, from reactive to proactive, is where real conflict capacity is built. It's also protection in both directions. A well-built code of conduct protects the business from ambiguity turning into liability and protects employees from inconsistency in expectations and how challenges are dealt with.

These are some of the gap areas our ERP Starter Package was built for; bringing you the peace of mind, clarity and the confidence to help your business thrive.

Why It’s Different

It's not a people problem. It's a policy problem.

Workplace conflict is rarely just about personalities or performance. More often, it's rooted in the system, or more specifically, in the absence or inadequacy of policy. A clear framework does the work informal discussions and a staff meeting can't: it gives employers and employees a shared, specific understanding of expectations to reference and work from, instead of guessing what comes next.

Equinox Resolution Practice built the ERP Starter Package specifically for small businesses (up to 50 employees) that don't yet have HR infrastructure or formal policy in place, closing the Structure Blind Spot before it becomes a full-blown conflict.

We're currently accepting applications for the pilot program.

The ERP Starter Package is available to businesses with 50 employees or fewer, and focuses on a single policy area.

We provide a consultation, policy review, and policy delivery within a 4–6 week turnaround, built to help small businesses grow their conflict-capacity through policy infrastructure, before issues escalate.

This offering isn't designed to resolve active conflict; it doesn't include mediation, education, or coaching.
